Fried Chicken Bánh mì

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 piece chicken thigh/breast
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup lettuce
  • 1/4 cup cucumbers thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup white onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp cilantro
  • 1/4 cup carrots thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • Bread

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken the night before by placing in a salt and sugar mix for an hour before adding in the buttermilk and leaving over night
  2. The next day, when you’re ready to cook, dredge it in flour and corn starch and then deep fry
  3. Toast your bread
  4. Place lettuce, cucumber, red onion and cilantro on the bun and top with the cooked the chicken.
  5. Finish it off with sriracha, or any preferred sauce
