INGREDIENTS
- 1 piece chicken thigh/breast
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup lettuce
- 1/4 cup cucumbers thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup white onion thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp cilantro
- 1/4 cup carrots thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- Bread
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken the night before by placing in a salt and sugar mix for an hour before adding in the buttermilk and leaving over night
- The next day, when you’re ready to cook, dredge it in flour and corn starch and then deep fry
- Toast your bread
- Place lettuce, cucumber, red onion and cilantro on the bun and top with the cooked the chicken.
- Finish it off with sriracha, or any preferred sauce
